Marianna Grynchuk is an Australian pianist of Ukrainian origin. She was born into a musical family and began her musical studies with her mother at the age of 4. The family migrated to Australia when she was 8, where she continued her studies with the esteemed Eleonora Sivan (of the Leningrad Conservatory) and her associate, Gabriella Smart (M.Mus).
Marianna made her recital debut when she was 11, and has since performed in Adelaide’s leading venues, such as Elder Hall (main hall of the Elder Conservatorium), the Adelaide Town Hall and the Festival Theatre. She has also performed solo in prestigious festivals around Australia – the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Soundstream New Music Festival and the inaugural Montville Young Musicians’ Festival. As well, Marianna has performed solo in Russia, USA, Italy and Ukraine.
Marianna has received tuition at the Moscow State Conservatory with Stanislav Igolinsky and in Europe with Gottlieb Wallisch, Peter Waas, Konstantin Scherbakov, Serguei Milstein and Eckart Heiligers. Masterclass appearances include performances for Yuri Rozum, Jean- Efflam Bavouzet, Nikolai Demidenko, Alexander Braginsky and Mykola Suk.
