Risa was born in Osaka, Japan. She began her musical studies when she was three years old. She graduated from the Kyoto City University of Arts, the Freiburg Hochschule fur Musik and the Imola International Piano Academy. Her main teachers were Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Vovka Ashkenazy, Boris Petrushansky, Rudolf Meister, Felix Gottlieb and Makoto Ueno.
She participated in Master Classes with Piotr Paleczny, Choong Mo Kang, Jaques Rouvier, and Lee KumSing.
Risa has been prize winner of the: 22nd Giulio Rospigliosi Piano Competition, 13th International Competition Giovani Musicisti Città di Paola, 16th Riviera Etrusca Music Competition, 8th Citta di Piove di Sacco Music Competition, 2015 Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition, 12th International Competition “Luigi Zanuccoli”, 41st International Music Competition Palma d’oro, 26th “Cittá di Albenga” International Piano Competition.
She has many years of experience as teacher and her students have won prizes in competitions in Japan and Italy.
