Nordic Piano Scenes is a very personal and dear vision,
sprung out of a deep connection to the nature of the northern
countries and the love for classical music (Ilona Saura). It includes CD recordings of the original piano music of different
Nordic composers produced in collaboration with the
Italian-based recording label Sheva Collection. The music is
selected presenting a larger composition by each composer
followed by a single short piece. It is alternated with
transcriptions of the pieces for orchestra and a variety of
different chamber music ensembles. There are also writings
related to the composers and the featured music. The
transcriptions are available at Ilona Saura's Youtube channel and
the writings can be found on her website.
